Pastor:    Paul F. Lackey

Paul Lackey is the pastor of Living Faith Baptist Church and is responsible for leading the congregation in expositional study of the Word of God.

Paul met his wife Sherri while attending New Mexico State University and they married in 1990. After graduating from NMSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, he worked in the private sector for five years and then perceived that God was calling him into the ministry. Paul, Sherri, and their three children moved to Fort Worth, Texas where Paul attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity.

Sherri graduated from NMSU with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She enjoys writing, blogging, and being webmaster of the church website; but her heart is in her home where she home schools Andrew, James, and Nicole. She also enjoys being Paul's help meet.

Andrew and James are twins and were born in 1993. They enjoy being with their family are growing spiritually. Nicole was born in 1996. She is a very sensitive young lady and loves serving her family in the home.

Elder:    Bob Welker

Born and raised in Shelby, Bob helped work the family wheat farm.  During his college years he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, married a Godly young woman, Karen.  Returning back to the farm they parented and home schooled their two daughters (Lisa and Laura) and two sons (Scott and Nick), all who are faithfully serving the Lord.  Their family has served in a number of area churches, including Bob and Karen serving with Gideon International Ministry.  They are fully committed to Living Faith Baptist Church of Shelby, where Bob serves as one of the Elders. Bob and Karen celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in 2007.

Elder:    Mark Daniels

The Daniels family has lived in Shelby as a family for 18 years. Mark is a professional broadcaster who came to Shelby from Great Falls in 1983 and has been here since.

 

He has worked at KSEN/KZIN FM radio for 25 years.  He was born in Akron, Ohio in 1954 and moved to Montana in 1977.  Mark believes he was saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ while in 8^th grade.  He has served as a Deacon and a Yokefellow in previous churches and taught numerous Sunday school classes.

 

Donita is a professional Cosmetologist who owns the Corner Beauty Shop in Shelby. She grew up in Sunburst with six brothers and sisters and attended a beauty college in Great Falls.

 

Mark & Donita were married in Shelby in 1989.  Donita also believes she is saved thru the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is a Sunday School teacher and very active in the church. The Daniels live 7 miles outside Shelby near the Marias Valley Golf Course.

 

Makenna was born in 1997 and was considered a gift from God, especially since Mark & Donita, after 8 years of marriage had about given up hope in having children. She is unique and carries her own style and doesn’t worry much about what others might be thinking. She likes archery, baseball, soccer, other sports and movies.

 

Ashton was born in 1999, just 19 months after Makenna. She is also a blessing.  She is a sweet, sincere, smart young girl who is shy in public but not around friends and family. Ashton likes soccer, her dolls, friends, and she has been the number one cookie seller in Girl Scouts the last two years.

 

It is our hope that by serving the church, we are serving God. We hope to see “Living Faith Baptist Church reach the lost for Jesus Christ!  We invite all to worship with us! All honor & Glory to Him!

Elder:    Obadiah Rouse

The Rouse family moved into the Sunburst area in March of 2007.  Before that time they were living in Carrizo Springs, Texas working with the youth of Carrizo Springs First Baptist Church.  They have 3 children, Lee (8), Jessica (7), and Eryn (5).  Obie is a Border Patrol Agent out of the Shelby Station and Lara stays at home and runs the daily household business.
